Membership Types

There are two categories of membership of the Council:

Patron Member: HK$50,000 patron fee
  HK$3300 annual fee after the first year
Ordinary Member: HK$3300 annual fee

Benefits

The HKTC is singled out for its unique services that are essential to sustaining members' business during these challenging years. To mention a few of the services:

  1. Members could enjoy the professional and training services in relation to compliance with the ICTI Code of Business Practice (ICTI COBP), a new standard of social accountability for the global toy industry.
  2. To channel members' views on industry-specific issues to relevant local and international authorities. In as far as exhibition matters go, a number of Council members, including the Chairman, are sitting on the Toy Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council which runs the annual Hong Kong Toys and Games Fair. With regard to issues involving Sino-Hong Kong trade, Council members regularly meet the representatives of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR. As a member of the ICTI and ACTI, the Council is able to convey members' views to toy representative bodies of more than 20 countries including the US, the UK, Japan, China and Germany whose members are mostly your business partners. To ensure that the industry's concerns and difficulties are clearly communicated, the Council establishes regular dialogues with non-government organizations and pressure groups. The Council's channel is also extended through the FHKI's connection to various advisory bodies, tertiary institutions and government establishments including the Legislative Council.
  3. To offer members networking opportunities such as missions and delegations, and gathering functions during the annual Hong Kong Toys and Games Fair to meet and exchange views face-to-face with buyers, leading industrial operators and representatives of trade-related authorities in Hong Kong, China and other countries.
  4. To keep members abreast of up-to-date information about domestic and international issues likely to affect the industry such as product safety regulations and legislation of major toy import markets; latest development of the PVC issue; product recall from around the world; labour laws and industry policies in mainland China.
  5. To enjoy special rates and benefits for more than a dozen of services essential to members' business offered by the FHKI such as the issue of Certificate of Origin and the HK Q-Mark accreditation, consultancy services for ISO 9000 compliance;
