Hong Kong Toys Council

Hong Kong Toys Council (HKTC) was established in 1986 under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), a fully independent statutory industrial organization in Hong Kong. The Council aims at promoting and fostering the interests of Hong Kong toy industry from both local and international perspectives. HKTC endeavours to raise awareness of international product safety standards among the industry in view of the increasing demand for higher product quality. Council members preside on various committees of local and international bodies including the Toy Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) and Asian Committee of Toy Industries. In recent years, the HKTC has been internationally recognized, as it has successfully created a communication platform for local industry players and representatives around the globe.

Members are also invited to join activities, inclusive of site visits, seminars and conferences organized by the FHKI;

ELIGIBILITY
Any company that is registered under the Business Registration Ordinance of Hong Kong is eligible for membership of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries / Hong Kong Toys Council. All members are entitled to enjoy the services and benefits provided. However, only those members in accordance with the Federation Ordinance are entitled to vote at general meetings and to register as voters in the functional constituency elections to Legco. Any association or organization with interests or objectives similar to those of the Federation is eligible to apply as an Affiliated Member. *According to the Federation Ordinance Section 49.1: "Every member which is a corporation, firm, association or organization shall appoint one of its members or officers to be its representative for the purposes of the Federation."
